Studio Olafur Eliasson is seeking an IT Manager/ Senior System Administrator to lead its IT team. The IT team consists of 2–3 people. The position combines a managerial role with hands-on day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Studio’s networks, servers and workstations, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with and offer technical networking and cloud server support to our in-house web developers.
The person will be responsible for long-term planning of the Studio’s IT needs and will work closely with our System Administrator in strategizing and implementing security, database and server practices. The position includes a variety of standard IT administration tasks.
The IT department is responsible for the smooth running of a 300-device network, often in a dynamically changing environment with both long- and short-term IT projects.
Large server and network upgrades are usually undertaken in the evenings and occasionally over the weekends, so we are looking for someone who would be available to work outside of office hours when required. Responsibility also includes some VIP desktop and mobile support.
You are the right person for us if you speak fluent English and German. You are passionate about technology, love problem solving and enjoy working in a large, friendly, team environment. You have good management skills and are able to prioritise when needed.
